If you are here on this site, it is probably because you have been referred from one of my networking sites. The real value of networking is in helping each other, or to use Transactional Analysis terminology, working towards a “WIN/WIN” situation.
Most people, including me, are happy to help others out. But that help can’t just be unidirectional. I do have on the banner at the top of each page of this site “A reciprocal Helping Hand”. If someone requires help on an ongoing basis without this reciprocation, then some commercial arrangement regarding payment needs to be made.
I have some products and services that I need to market to my potential client base. Many of my products and services are suitable for the global market. As I have already discussed on other pages of this site, the advertising aspect of marketing can become very expensive.
I already have a large number of contacts in my formal networks. Each of those contacts in turn will have a large number of contacts in both their formal and in their informal networks. My contacts may not personally want some of the products and services which I have to offer. However, their contacts may. If a purchase is made from a person who has been referred by one of my contacts, then I would like to reward that contact.
What I am offering to all of my contacts is an “informal Ian’s affiliate” program.
Here are some examples of how it works.
Example 1
Mary contacts me, and contracts me to build and publish a basic web site for her from one of my templates. The work is completed and Mary pays me US$300 for the site. But Mary was told about my service by Fred, and Fred is one of my contacts. Fred then gets paid US$30 by me for giving the referral.
Example 2
Another contact of mine Joe, has a daughter going to college. A friend of his daughter Sandra, is turning 21 in a few weeks time. Joe suggests to his daughter that all of her college friends should put in together to pay for a “Happy Birthday” web site for Sandra for her 21st birthday. Instead of all buying cards (or as well as), they could each have their name and birthday message on the web site. There is an example of a Happy Birthday web site here. More information regarding them is given on the page on this site called Birthdays & Anniversaries. The site costs US$50 total, and after the payment is made a US$5 referral fee goes back to Joe, which he decides to contribute towards the costs of drinks at Sandra’s party.
Example 3
Jane knows of a firm that has its own full-time training department, but does not have training programs in several areas in which staff at the firm need in-service training. Jane refers the firm to Professional Performance Australia’s soft skilling courses. The firm decides to purchase ten of these courses costing AU$2,500 . Jane receives AU$250 for the referral.
How to Register
All that you need to do is to e-mail me your name, contact telephone number, Skype telephone number (if you have one), your address and your PayPal email address (if you have one). I would also like some information as to where you heard about this. Was it from the ecademy site, or another site, or did someone tell you about it perhaps?
I shall keep a register of all of these contact details. Whenever an enquiry is made which results in a sale, the purchaser is always asked how they heard about us. When they say that “Bill Smith” referred them, we will check our list, and Bill will get paid in the week following our receipt of payment for the service.
Not all products and services that are provided by Professional Performance Australia and/or Ian McKenzie are covered by this informal agreement. Those that are covered will be mentioned on the appropriate pages where these products and services are discussed.
